President's Student Cabinet

The President’s Student Cabinet, composed of current students from across the institution, fosters communication, engagement, and collaboration among students, the President, and the University’s senior leadership. Student Cabinet members are selected to represent the broadest possible range of student backgrounds, interests, experiences, identities, and ideologies.

The Student Cabinet convenes with the President and other senior leaders several times each semester, and with the President’s Cabinet once each semester. The Student Cabinet may also be convened ad hoc at the request of the President to provide feedback and insights to University leaders on key issues.

Eligibility Requirements for Student Cabinet Members

  • Enrolled in coursework on campus or remotely at the University of Richmond for the proposed Cabinet term (cannot be studying abroad during Cabinet term)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to serve as a voice for fellow students on important campus issues
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Student Cabinet members are eligible for one additional term of service following their first year.
